If you have children, you would be saving money on after-school programs, daycare, and babysitters. This is usually a value of a few hundred dollars a week. Additionally, you would get the added priceless benefit of getting to spend time with your kids everyday. You could take them to appointments if need be and maybe participate in their schooling more than you currently do at your job.

There are other hidden costs to working at a typical job, as well. For example, you could take the money you have to spend on "work clothes" and dry cleaning and use it to buy more comfortable clothes, which are usually cheaper, so you could buy more. You also have the choice of simply wearing your pajamas while you work and put the extra money in savings.

Therefore, even if you do not make the same amount of money working from home as you do at your current job, you will likely still have more extra money than you are used to. You can save hundreds, or sometimes even a thousand dollars a month when you decide to just make money working at home.
